SOMERTON YARD CLOSURE TO ALL RAIL TRAFFIC
APPLIES TO THE FOLLOWING ROUTE: -
SOMERTON LOOP TO ALBURY
From Saturday 13/05/2023 until further notice.

During the planned ARTC maintenance work at Somerton Loop on Saturday 13/05/2023, ARTC maintenance will apply point clips to 1D and 5U points preventing access to Somerton 3 Road and Somerton Yard. Points will be booked out of use under an IBA as soon as possible after that.
V/Line have advised via Safeworking Circular SW.0127/2023, that Effective from 0900 hours Monday 15th May 2023, Somerton Yard will be closed to all Rail Traffic.
The Siding Tracks effected by this closure are: -
- The Broad Gauge tracks from a point clear of Dwarf Signal SOM548, Siding A and the tracks encompassed by Stop Board No 1 at Siding A to Stop Board No 5 at the Austrak Siding, Stop Board No 7 at the Tube makers Siding, and Stop Board No 8 at the Blue Circle Siding
- The Standard Gauge Track on No 3 No 3A and No 4 Roads from a point clear between Dwarf Signals SOMV4 and SOMV6 to Stop Board No 2 at Bright steel (Martin & Bright), Stop Board No 5 at the Austrak Siding, Stop Board No 7 at the Tube makers Siding (One Steel), and Stop Board No 8 at the Blue Circle Siding
Baulks will be applied at a point clear of Dwarf Signals SOM548, SOMV4 and SOMV6
Further advice will be issued by MTM for the securing of points leading towards the Somerton Yard from the MTM Down and UP Main Lines.

Insert a reference on Signalling Diagram No 70/22 -Glenbervie to Somerton-.
Updated Signalling Diagram will be issued in due course.
